NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
I just got my 2010 Fan Guide with my February 5,2010 National Dragster.
Inside the magazine, there is a Class by Class description of each category. I got a kick out of the description for Stock Eliminator.I don't think the description is up to date, but this is how they describe it: Engines must be correct for the make and model vehicle and must retain stock cylinder heads, intake manifold, and carburetor. MODIFICATIONS ARE LIMITED TO A BASIC BALANCING AND REBUILD WITH ONLY A FEW PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS |
Re: NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
Sounds like "nostalgia" stock eliminator to me.....NHRA....They are really on top of things. WJ

Re: NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
Enhancements? Why is it that NHRA always wants the sportsman racers to have this connection with enhancements?

You can not blame NHRA for it's present state That honor belongs to the racers themselves. You can blame NHRA fror not enforcing their rules though. |
Re: NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
After recieving the NHRA PRO fan guide a couple of days ago I sat down and sent the folks in the ivory palace an e-mail and told them what I thought about getting the guide but no rule book. With the increased or should I say inflated membership and competition fees that NHRA has hung on us; this is just another slapp in the face to the Sportsman racer. If you don`t like this, let NHRA know about it. Maybe they will get the hint. Bye the way; I threw the guide in the recycler. My thoughts.. Bruce

Re: NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
For those of you that have not paid any attention to the fan guide there has to be at least 12-15 pictures of J.force/A .Force thruout it. Now the guy that one funny car championship has 1-2 pics and the other 15 cars that usuallu run have no pics unless it is WITH a Force in the pic. So the Force(NHRA) Fan Guide was probably a pretty succesful publication--- DO NOT waste your time emailing or writing NHRA about a rule book they are gonna do what they damn well please!!!!comp 387

Re: NHRA 2010 Fan Guide
After opening my "membership kit" I received awhile ago I sat back and thought about just what in that kit would be needed by me. There is absolutely nothing in it worth mailing to me from a racer's standpoint. I don't need decals, pins are usually dated two yrs. late, coupons are in my name only and good if I am not racing, advertisements...I already know about Summit Racing, rental coupons I never need, and so on. Also, there was a small sheet informing me I wasn't going to get a rulebook. Last week I get my ND in with a Fan Guide inside. This important booklet tells me what I already know about stock and superstock. What I wanted, aside from the Dragster mag., is that rulebook telling me what changes there are for the new yr. Why not treat the customer this way..... If you have competition numbers you automatically get the rulebook, for an added fee of course. If you're a fan only you do not get the rulebook. Maybe they're trying to tell me which they prefer me and other sportsman racers to be.
