>> Mike Junk pro cars have junk parts equaling lots of oil down time. No matter if you have one class or three.

Do the math. Less cars, less chance of oil down time.

>> Also NHRA has many three day races so I don’t see your point there.

Over half of their national events are more than three days, plus you have 3-day Divisional races vs running two Pro-Ams in two days or two Pro-Ams and a Sportsman National in three days.

>> How is it cheaper to run IHRA? Entry fee of 190 vs. 240

190 < 240.

>> Just alone if win a IHRA national you get 1000 and a NHRA national you get between 1500-2500 depending on what race it is.

6 round race vs 7 round race doubles your percentage chance of winning an event.

>> Example fourth round superstock looser at IHRA Nat race 150$ and at an NHRA Nat race you get 400$.

IHRA $150 - $190 entry: -$40.
NHRA $400 - $240 entry - $150(?) extra day off work: $10.

Yah. Huge difference. I've made a lot of money racing in IHRA. It works for me. What do you hope to gain by trashing IHRA?

Positive attitude: priceless.

Downing was also happy to run IHRA when NHRA didn't like his crate motor pistons.Sorry Charlie, but I don't like the trash talking you give IHRA, I use my real name so go for it. If you can't say something good just shut up and work on your driving.

Mike the pistons in question were legal in 2006 and passed an INDY tear down that year. I did not build the short block that was deemed illegal and take full reasonability for not checking it before racing. At least NHRA has a tear down. I would hate to see how many IHRA cars would fail a good tear down inspection or even cubic inch pump check. And for the record I raced at one IHRA pts race while on suspension with NHRA. Your information is just a little off in that area. Mark you are correct about one thing my driving has sucked for the passed two years, but I would race you anytime. All in good fun.

If they passed at Indy, I think they would have passed somewhere else, and that doesn't sound like that is the case.
