First thing I thought of. Dummy wheel inserts with a cheap tape measure!! I had an issue years ago but I set my wheelbase with plumb bobs and a level concrete floor. I ended up lengthening my 4 link bars a 1/4" more afterward so wheelbase would comply with NHRA apparatus. I would've pulled a wheel. And last time in the barn I looked at NHRA's burette. Medical grade??!! LMAO, don't ask. Hopefully changed by now but sounds like if they're still using that antiquated wheelbase apparatus!!??!!!

Wyatt,
I'm sorry for your experience. Could you not have issued a appeal to Lonnie and insisted on removing all four wheels? After all its Indy.

Out of curiosity, what was the wheelbase measurement when you measured it yourself prior to the event?

What was the actual dimension when you measured it post event?

There was some encouragement for racers based on Lonnie walking through the process on NHRA Live as well as the free NHRA.TV coverage for Wednesday/Thursday and to hear their response to your request is disappointing to say the least. Sorry to hear you were treated like that but to your credit you’ve been transparent about the infraction and handled it professionally.

NHRA announced last night that next year we would return to racing on Monday so I would guess we will see a more normal schedule. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA

Very glad to see the teardowns in effect. And in particular, the checking of the wiring, electronics, and ecu files/datalogs.
And really liked the barn video with Lonnie.
I also really love how he consistently said 'the customer' in that video. Very cool.

Lonnie is a class act and I hope NHRA does everything possible to keep him for a long time.

Are you referring to that burette stand thing that looks like a piece of old t.v.antenna. Good luck for the future, John Kissel

Im not sure what the hell you are talking about. It was a genuine Fisher Scientific burette. What exactly would you like them to use?

What do you use to CC your heads ?
