You are lucky you weren't DQ'd from the event altogether. I've seen it happen.

In Chicago, I had a very similar situation. I barely missed my first S/ST run, and was teched for S/C while the class was running. They had also moved the location of tech between those classes, so I needed to chase that down. In both cases, there was a lady in the back of the credentialing trailer that was running an 'express lane' for racers in this situation. That was helpful but still a major hassle overall.

At the end of it all, I still needed to wait in the long credential line to get my wife's restricted area pass.

Sad to be treated that way.

Dale was DQ from the event...that is why we are reading this thread......perhaps this will be a warning for racers and hopefully won't happen again......

Thumbs down Re: Dale Haulquist... what happened?

Ennis was always a major PITA to race at. Last time I was there, they announced over the loud speaker to tech in the staging lanes, get to the lanes, nobody there to tech. Finally someone told me to go to the scales to tech, went there, waited, missed the first pass. Got to the track before dawn, waited for 4 hours to park, still got parked in the mud. Had a security guard pull a gun on us one morning while entering the track because I didn't have a "drop down" on my mirror that they failed to issue to me,,,,,,,,,,,
