Was it; fuel, weight, car expired, starter, empty battery, fake alternator or what? How about a little help here.

Re: Dale Haulquist... what happened?
No one to blame but me, by the time we got parked Stock was in the lanes (1st out) I went to the staging lanes to get tech'd in and was told their teching by the scales, drive down to get tech'd (4th in line while their running), then I go back to the staging lanes and credentials trailer where there is over ten people in front of me and( 4 stockers left to run). I made the decision to make the run, (my car is legal and tech'd just no credentials) like every divisional race I ever ran. By the time I get back from fuel check and weighing they have called superstock, run order is (Stock ,Super Street, SuperStock) at this event. I jump in the superstocker and tech it in while their running, I go back to staging lanes and credential trailer line is longer on both sides with people getting tickets restricted and new credentials, I made another decision to run the superstocker but before I ran, one of the staging area officials said they have called Stock Class and were pairing them up, what class are you running I told them D/SA, but I don't even have my credentials yet and was told they will hold one car back as long as they can. I made a series of instinct decisions that were bad.

Re: Dale Haulquist... what happened?
It is a shame they can not make provisions for late arrivals but they do not care they got your money.
I have seen it happen out here and tried to say something - the guys not pressed for time got out of the way -- we were warned about running without waiting on the credentialing process. No sense helping out the ladies in the credential trailer - who said she had brought it up at more than one race. A top official said - "should have gotten here yesterday" - I posted a Facebook picture of 6 NHRA guys standing on the scales at least 75 feet from the credential trailer who could have pitched in to help. Seems fair - well no .. actually seems NHRA. A ridiculous approach to customer service. Ron |
Re: Dale Haulquist... what happened?
That is terrible, it speaks loudly. They would rather throw him out than help him out.
