DP and CJ are all bogus. Art, don't you run a bogus combo. I look at what people have done with the other cars they have run. Can not make them run, but now they are top qualifiers. Yea right. Most of us have worked hard on our cars and made them run good. We do not relie on NHRA for a soft HP rating. And that is the trruth, like it or not!!!!!!!

He should have fact checked himself. He is off on a few counts.
Sounds like he is biased.

A couple of facts Nobody has touched on yet.
There were 3 Drag Pack cars that didn't qualify.
Every stocker and superstocker there went under the index in qualifying all 338 of them.

He was wrong about everyone being shocked with how fast the cars ran. They got plenty more left.

Definately did not mince his words but he is definately right----As far as the blown cars they need to put some device on it to allow a certain maximum boost--sorta like the Indy cars ya go down to tech and get a wastegate from them and after the race is over ya turn it in and go get another one for the next race---that's how they control it over there----maybe NHRA could issue "certified pulleys " for the Fords and after the race is over ya turn it in or ya continue to use the same one and if ya get caught using(cheating or modifying ) something different your out til the same time next year.

There were more Camaros than (41) than DP's and CJ's combined.
Almost one out of 4 cars was a Camaro

Hes 90 % right
All I know is when I pulled in the water box and saw the dail in first round in a E/SA Mustang was 10.22..
THATS JUST WRONG !!
A a thru C/SA would be proud of that number.
By the way ART the 3 cars you speak about all BROKE.
So with the 20 new cars NHRA shortened the field by 20+ %

Supercharged cars are easy to check just measure the pulleys and do a little math.
Even I can do that.

Also cam position, lift and duration changes boost level on all Turbo or Supercharged cars.

Someone writing an article should not be 90% right.
