Default PCV oil Seperator in stock?

Can a PCV/Air seperator be installed between valve cover and intake manifold. Wanting to keep oil from contaminating intake.

Run it off a carb spacer if you have one.

I used to use 1 on my Cleveland. I'm not sure on the legality in Stock but I took it off because there was never any oil in the bowl to drain out. It was on the engine for a few years.

Jeff, I have seen it all in my over 40 years of running stock eliminator. Pcv, master cylinder one way valves, they are all legal.

Thank you. I've tried PCV, Sealed caps foam filters in covers, shields under cover all running to base of carb and have a smoking problem when running. Disconnect and smoke goes away. So I wanted to try the separator and hook back up. Hoping to find .3 gain. LOLOLOL

I run a similar PCV system and have difficulty with oil being drawn in the intake manifold. Designed baffles, etc, still get some oil.
I wrote to our Div 6 Tech director asking if I could install a Mororso separator in the line.
I was told, in Stock Class if it did come on the car orginally , " NO"
It would not be legal.
But on the upside, a little oil may help top ring seal. Lol.
If you get a NHRA tech guy to put in writing it's legal to do in Stock, please let us all know..

Ya know, for years I've run a cheap clear plastic fuel filter in my PCV valve line. It keeps the oil out and when it starts to get some oil puddled in it, I put a new one in.

I never had that problem but I guess I never went fast enough.
I think, for 200 bucks , I'd dingle hone it and change the rings.
But, I'm pretty sure Jeff got his at the Glendale swap meet ;-)

In all honesty it should be re ringed. I feel the blow by may be to much.
