Default Upper ball joint length

Have heard that using an upper ball joint with longer shank on a first generation Camaro, will reduce/eliminate the camber change during wheel stand. Anyone have any experience in that area? What is the best shank length to choose? Going to freshen front end this winter with AFCO or other quality pieces. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Dave,

Search some of my recent threads about front end issues.
I just ordered the 1/2" longer ProForged top joints. Have not installed yet, but they look and feel good.
Finding a longer and low friction top ball for 1st gen is a problem.
Good luck,

Ken

I have an ancient set of Stahl/Moroso upper ball joints that are 1/2 longer than stock, and they do correct the problem you mentioned. I more recently bought some of them from Howe Performance. They are a very nice unit and work very well too. Kind of pricey though.
