I HAVE A Q-JET OFF A MER-CRUSER BOAT MOTOR.
The needle and seat is different from all the car stuff I have seen. It's not the strip-out replacement part. It's not the old style (65/66) enclosed seat. The difference is this. The thing looks exactly like every other one I have seen. Except the needle its self has a small spring loaded check ball at the top, ON THE TIP THAT COMES IN CONTAT WITH THE FLOAT.??? Anyone on here ever see this could you explain what it's for? One more thing, this carb has the largest, longest, plastic stuffer block I have ever seen. I assume the stuffer block is to allow a low float level in a boat to prevent fuel slosh. I don't know it's just a crazy looking thing to me. Thanks in advance for the help. Glen
