The original release stated a 5 year rotation, according to that, this is how the rotation would fall.
The Carolina race was not there (for obvious reasons) Since the original 5 years have passed, the boys in the booth may be re-assessing the rule. -steve Classes Do Not Compete In These Events Competition Eliminator 2009: Topeka, St. Louis, Sonoma, Dallas 2010: Las Vegas (Spring), Atlanta, Englishtown, Denver 2011: Gainesville, Norwalk, Brainerd, Las Vegas (Fall) 2012: Pomona (Winter), Chicago (Spring), Memphis 2013: Phoenix, Houston, Bristol, Reading Super Stock 2009: Phoenix, Bristol, Chicago (Spring) 2010: Houston, Norwalk, Reading, Las Vegas (Fall) 2011: Pomona (Winter), Englishtown, Denver, Memphis 2012: Las Vegas (Spring), Atlanta, Topeka, St. Louis 2013:Gainesville, Sonoma, Brainerd, Dallas Stock 2009: Las Vegas (Spring), Atlanta, Denver, Memphis 2010: Pomona (Winters), Gainesville, St. Louis, Dallas 2011: Houston, Chicago (Spring), Sonoma, Reading 2012: Phoenix, Bristol, Englishtown, Brainerd 2013: Topeka, Norwalk, Las Vegas (Fall) Super Comp 2009: Pomona (Winters), Houston, Norwalk, Reading 2010: Bristol, Chicago (Spring), Sonoma, Brainerd 2011: Phoenix, Atlanta, Topeka 2012: Gainesville, Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas (Fall) 2013: Las Vegas (Spring), Englishtown, St. Louis, Memphis Super Gas 2009: Gainesville, Englishtown, Brainerd, Las Vegas (Fall) 2010: Phoenix, Topeka, Memphis 2011: Las Vegas (Spring), Bristol, St. Louis, Dallas 2012: Houston, Norwalk, Sonoma, Reading 2013: Pomona (Winters), Atlanta, Chicago (Spring), Denver |

I was told by a NHRA employee in the staging lanes between rounds at the Memphis race that in 2009 all classes would run at the National Events and it would be announced by years end.
Not sure about Alcohol and Comp but the other categories are not being rotated out. Just Another Rumor but it did come from a NHRA full time employee. |

Does that count for Super Street?

Super Street was not mentioned specifically.
The conversation started when some of us were talking about the small turnout at Memphis. There was only 53 S/G cars in first round. When the NHRA employee standing there heard the conversation they mentioned the change for 2009. The word was the rotation was for a 5 year period and when it expired it was going away. No new rotation would be issued and the announcment would come by years end. Just what I was told. |
