From the entry list, it looks like 2 or 3 class runoffs and every else in a combo. The NHRA is gonna save $ on wallys for this one...

At the risk of starting a petty crossfire X-TECH MAN, are all the racers from Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, New York, Nebraska, Colorado, and any other state I might have missed, all stupid people because they entered this race? Lighten up, please. Everyone that enters this race knows what the conditions can be here in mid-summer, including me, but you don't enter because you're stupid and don't know better. It may not be anyone's preferred location, but you still have to persevere and run a good race. Again, lighten up.

He isn't a bad guy, but he hasn't raced for decades and so far, would rather bad mouth others than to actually race himself. I agree. X-Tech X-Racer, Turn that frown updside down! Go get something to race and race it! IHRA is dead and NHRA aint perfect for sure, but it might be what you need to cheer you up!

Raced at Denver in 2002 and never got a handle on it because I couldn't use my own weather station, the barometer didn't go low enough..

The corrected altitude got as good as 11,500 feet above sea level.

First and only time that we lost in class and again congratulations to Frank Weaver for kicking my butt in class..

Tough place to race, but I would go back in a heartbeat...

I do race locally but not as often. no I did not join NHRA. Its not worth it to me. My car is a 1979 Corvette set up like a stocker from the late 70's that I bracket race without a 2-step and off the brake peddle. Yes that ugly word "bracket race" IHRA died the day Bill Bader sold it. NHRA is not the same as when I worked for it in the early 1970's either. We had real tech guys like Marty Barrett, Greg X., Jim Dale, Red Anderson, and several others. The real problem is the real dedicated guys have gotten old (like me) and just either died or retired. They got tired of the BS and that's why stock just is not stock anymore with the solid lifters in Hyd. camed engines, roller rockers, valve springs that would hold up a Mack truck, any duration and overlap, ported heads, etc. My saying "Being stupid" was because of the changes having to be made to ones car at that altitude and the 100 degree heat. The "GET-R-Done" at any cost and fast just isn't there anymore. Sorry if I offended you and anyone else but I'm having fun.
