Very close to the same, depending on what options they are fitted with.

Assuming we are talking about Stock and Superstock the overall vehicle weight needs to stay the same, lighter transmission must adjust with ballast. The big difference would be any parts of the transmission that rotate. The 350 has a heavy large valvebody, heavy pump assembly and a iron low roller support. These parts just go for the ride and do not rotate. Has anyone compared 200 - 350 internals?
I know this question has been asked before without very clear answers, "How much does a Stocker pick up by replacing a race prepped 350 with a race prepped 200?" |

Even though the car has to remain the same weight at least if you took it out of the transmission you could put the weight where you want it, and that may not be much of a advantage but it i'd say it counts for something.

My Powerglide and Metric 200 were within 2 lbs. of each other with similarly lightened internals.

The metric has a better 1st gear than the 350 or power glide
