OK, so you actually have the seat sitting on the floorpan? I sandwiched the floorpan between 2 pieces of steel but mad seat mount brackets under the seat that are adjustable for tilt.
Are stock factory seat adjusters legal? I've had a car with a poly seat that had the poly seat bolted to the adjusters.

I have one of the last Gen 3's that Ed Quay did, himself. I plan on finishing it sometime in 2016. It was delivered with Kirkey alum seats on what looks like a stock bucket seat adjuster/slides. The back of the seat support is built to attach to the roll cage cross bar and adjusts as the seat adjusts. I would assume he wouldn't build a car for NHRA Super Stock that didn't fit the rules.

Yes my seats are bolted directly to the floor. I have a gen 1 Camaro and the floor below the seat is heavy double steel so it makes a good solid install. I am tall so I need the head room. I am also the only driver so no need for adjustable mounts.

In the Chevelle we just did, it was a factory bucket seat car and we used the OE seat mounting points. It's a reinforced hard point, so we used that. But the centerline of the mounting points is not centered on the steering wheel and the seat had to be adjusted over with the mount to center it on the wheel. The Jaz seats we used are mounted about 2 1/4" from the floor to the bottom of the seat to get the best height for visibility, fitting in the cage, etc. We just determined where the seat would need to be and fabbed a CM tubular mount between the floor points and the seat. Made a mirror image piece for the passenger side and made a seat back brace attached to the crossbar..
