Phil, my 80 Olds cutlass wagon has carpet in the rear cargo area.It is held in with snaps,if you need pics I can take some this weekend. Gary

if it came from the factory with carpet, you have to have carpet. I think it states no bear metal.

SUGGESTION---check with a carpet supplier/boat/auto upholstery shop look for "aircraft" type carpeting----real thin stuff ya can look thru it if you hold it up to the light & no backing on it either, it kinda looks like a real thin Scotchbrite pad---comes in several colors WEIGHS ALMOST nothing!!!! Put it on wtih Aerosol adhesive to keep it in place--- have it edged like normal ya can even put snaps on it so you can remove panels if you need to--- or go to someplace like Joanns fabrics get this material that looks like naugahyde and aerosol adhesive it down to the bare metal
