Desite their best efforts, maybe NHRA would like to keep at least a little bit of "stock" in Stock Eliminator. I just wish that they had have let in so much other stuff "slide by" over the years.

It is NHRA, after all, lol. They still think electrons flow from the cathode to the anode, unlike the rest of the world... .

Good luck racing in an ET class with a Corvette bucket seat mounted in your 65 Biscayne.

However if you plan on running in Stock Eliminator with your 65 Biscayne, then you must use the correct front seat for the car as stated in the Stock section of the rulebook under Upholstery. The correct front seat for your particular car in Stock is a bench seat. If it is a 2dr then it needs the bench seat that folds forward allowing entry into the rear seat area. If it is a 4dr then it needs the type that has the solid one piece upright portion that does not fold forward. The two different type of bench seats may not be interchanged.

While the quote you originally made is from General Regulations, you need to first read another section of the rulebook.

Before referring to the General Regulation section of the rulebook, one should read the section in the front of the rulebook titled How To Use This Rulebook. That section discusses how certain Class Requirements override statements in the General Regulation section.

This was a cheap shot to FJ and the IHRA and totally irrelevant, untrue and unnecessary. Shame on you. If I were FJ, I would send "Too Tall" Dave Turner over to your house to beat you to a pulp! Jim
