When he made his run I did say he was the quickest SS Car of all time....Thanks to Scott Gove and his efforts. I love Drag Racing on many levels but none is more exciting than seeing, announcing something that has never been done before, example the quickest run in Class History.
Nothing against Gallina, but remember it was aFULL TUBE chassis turbo car with a Kenny Dutweiller engine.

Congrats to Scott, first naturally aspirated super stocker in the 7's!!!!

It was not a full tube car.. It was a back half car. He did it like 10 years ago.

Congratulations, Scott. According to his website, Scott ran 7.97 / 171 twice at Atco on 10/26/06.

Does anyone know the Cu.In. and weight specs for his car? Is it a 2x4 carb setup? If it is, I'm wondering what the quickest 1x4 car in SS is.

I believe he has 358 cu.in., and the weight break for SS/AM is 7.50 - 8.49 lbs. per cu. in. with a 2650 lb. minimum; it is a 2x4 carb setup.
