Question Re: Painting a new SS/GT G5 (Rich South)

Didn't Rampy try to enter a SS/BS cavalier in a race a few years back and when they took the car thru tech, the tech guys wouldn't let them race it in S/S? And wasn't it a B&B built car? And then shortly there after NHRA had a rules update with pics in the national dragster about what is acceptable in S/S with pics and stuff? There was the rule about notching the rear bumpers for wheelie bars amongst other things? Didn't Doug Stewart get that car and end up racing it in comp for awhile? Thats what I remember, maybe I'm wrong. I guess as a chassis builder one has to push the rules just the same as anyone else to build the best performing car else you won't be a chassis builder for long. Course how can anyone say they took a FWD cobalt and stuffed a V8 in it and made it RWD and call much of anything about it stock anymore?... Goodluck to all involved and that is a beautiful car Mr South, you'll probably have more in paint and body work than I have in my car!
