I take this to mean that an ET or Jr driver is not guaranteed an entry, but if they have enough grade points and enter before the quota is reached they can use the gold card. This was not the case earlier in the year according to Mark Yacavone. If ET gold cards are no longer honored at national events I think it should be printed somewhere. -Toby |

Not sure how this will stir up but here in div7, the winner of our r.o.c. received a gold card. He also went on to win the big show in pomona, so now he has 2 gold cards. NHRA told him neither one was good enough for an entry to a national event. In the past he had this same gold card and used it everywhere. Now because he won it in a BRACKET class its no good.

That's kinda like having a coupon for a deluxe meal, and
then be told it's only good for a junior deal, wonder what the IHRA is doing with their gold card holders this season? Dave |
