Like Bill said, they were available as just the tube setup, or if you wanted to be "high tech", and didn`t want to jam a screw into the secondary slot, you could get a "gear drive" affair that fit onto the primary and secondary throttle shafts, and had a pair of 1/4 circle "gears" that made all 4 throttle blades open similtaniously.

Wow, you guys confirmed what the seller told me about the holes. (For secondary pump shot)
The carb is an 850cfm list #3418. Regarding what it's going on, it's not an L88 '67 Vette, can anyone guess what it's for? Now back to the question, will the holes get through tech? I'm going to try Bob's suggestion and see what they say. Last edited by Mike Gray; 08-25-2009 at 01:07 PM. |

I sold a few of those secondary kits. Marketed by Eelco (sp?)
I guess that makes me in the really old, right Bill? :~) If tech didn't like them fill with a little epoxy or JB weld.

I had one on my new at the time 68 Z-28. The car had zero torque with the factory 3.73 gears, 2.20 low gear trans and by going to a manual secondary set up with the squirters it ran better on the street. The 5:38 gears made it run even better but it was rough to drive on the Washington D.C. beltway with those gears.
