Re: Race # 3 & 4 - Mid Atlantic SS at Mason Dixon
Here is the tentative run schedule for Saturday, July 20th & Sunday, July 21st at Mason Dixon for Race # 3 & 4. We will kick things off around 11:30-12 with Q1 for Super Street then follow suit.
Remember Racers Breakfast put on by my team is at my trailer starting at 9:30 till 11, so stop by and grab some pancakes on Sat. The schedule is always subject to change, and I know there could be a few people who are looking to double up (Super & TS, SC & TD, SC & Super Pro...etc). I can say with only 7 classes it makes it quite difficult to make it suitable for everyone who want to double enter because we are unsure of the car counts. I can just say if you plan on double entering be FIRST UP for the first class you plan on running and towards the back for the 2nd class you plan on running to give you time to cool down. I know the print is small but this is the best I can do with the picture resize that Ken has on here....here is the basic list in a nutshell: MID Atlantic Race # 3 & 4 at Mason Dixon - .90 & Top 32 will get two qualifiers and Super & Pro one qualifier Rotation – Saturday, July 20th, 2024 Radio Station: 87.9 Gates Open at 10am Q1- 12pm – Super Street Q1 – Pro Eliminator Q1 – Super Comp Q1 - Top Sportsman Q1 – Super Gas Q1 – Top Dragster Q1 – Super Pro MID Atlantic Race # 3 & 4 at Mason Dixon - 1 qualifier for all Rotation – Sunday, July 21st, 2024 Radio Station: 87.9 Gates Open at 9am Q1- 11am – Super Street Q1 – Pro Eliminator Q1 – Super Comp Q1 - Top Sportsman Q1 – Super Gas Q1 – Top Dragster Q1 – Super Pro Last edited by BKSG1198; 06-08-2024 at 09:26 PM. |

Re: Race # 3 & 4 - Mid Atlantic SS at Mason Dixon
All of us at Mason Dixon Dragway are looking forward to hosting this Mid Atlantic .90 race this weekend. To start on Friday night we get going right a 6 pm with a race day track prep all evening long. On Saturday and Sunday we get underway right on time and we know how to keep the program moving. We have 6 long staging lanes plus 2 more shorter ones. The long lanes will hold about 20 cars each and are slightly down hill. Making the turn to water box is easily done also. For those watching our seating is real close to the track and our LED scoreboards are approx. 800 feet down track and very easy to read from most anywhere. We have very good, reasonably priced food and new this year hand dipped and soft serve Hershey ice cream. I'll do the bulk of the announcing with the track owner Elmer Wachter, Butch Long and on Saturday Steve Dickey helping out, all four of us have fun on the mic as you'll find out over the course of the event. See you all this weekend at Mason Dixon Dragway!

Re: Race # 3 & 4 - Mid Atlantic SS at Mason Dixon
Well Race 3 & 4 of the MA Season at Mason Dixon Dragway is in the books. First and foremost, I have to thank Jason Anagnostis of POR 15 for putting up the sponsorship dollars to guarantee the $1,500 to win in all the .90 classes this weekend. For those that were there you know the car counts weren?t the greatest and some promoters would have said "I'm cutting the purse because no one showed" but that's not what we do at the MA Series and 6 lucky drivers went home with the cash and more!!
Most of you have said you were ?treated like gold? by the track and their staff. To have multiple people tell me how much they enjoyed our series & we?re glad we chose to come to their track, it was a true testament to the sportsmanship & class that we all bring as a team. I heard nothing but great reviews about the track (I can say I?ve never seen a team prep, drag and spray as much as they did there - must be a Maryland thing with tracks and prepping them with Cecil & MD). I can say they have welcomed us back for 2025, hopefully the reviews from the racers will help increase those car counts! From me to you THANK YOU for supporting this event, I hope you enjoyed the extra perks of the breakfast on Sunday and a HUGE THANK YOU to Frank Spidel for doing the chicken BBQ on Saturday night! Where else do you have a series feed you TWO Meals in a weekend! Sat Super Comp: Chase Fahnestock over Don Bangs Super Gas: Jeff Fisher over George Donhauser Super Street: Dave E'Nama over Neal Vaccaro Sunday Super Comp: Don Bangs over Kathy Smulligan Super Gas: Keith Mayers over Mike Lang Super Street: Jeremy Stoker over David Cimba Thanks once again to Elmer, Jake, Kathy and the rest of the crew at MD Rob Keister MA Super Series President |
