I just got home from a surprise birthday party for Pete Kost. The party was held at his son Dino's house. Good times, good food and most important great fun with everyone there. The stories flowing like a river from everyone.
Pete's official birthday is Sep. 4th but the party was held today and about 50 people or so showed up. The ages ranged from 89 to about 4 years old. I can't believe how good Pete still looks for a guy that will turn 90 in a few days. He is still as sharp and funny as ever. The stories Pete tells are as good as ever. So glad I got the info about the party from my buddy Rick Green. Today was Bucket List stuff, I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

I have realized that there may be some people who don't know Pete.
Pete has raced in Stock, S/S and other classes. Oh, by the way he raced in Pro Stock back in the day. He was associated with the Smothers Brothers during the late 60's I believe. He, and his brother Bill have race Oldsmobiles and had a very good relationship with that company. I am sure you all have heard the stories that Pete can tell. They are endless, awesome.
