Make A Wish race at TVD Sept 17-18
It's always good to finish the race season on a positive note. And there's nothing more positive than our annual Make A Wish benefit race at Thunder Valley, sponsored by Watertown Ford and Chrysler and Selland Trucking.
Our Saturday race format will be a familiar one to racers and the Make A Wish families and kids, including the popular 'parade pass' that has kids and siblings in the race car passenger seat for a two abreast drive down the quarter mile prior to the first round of eliminations. An extra event this year is the drawing for the Make A Wish quilt winner. We'll have more on that in the coming days but it promises to be a fun deal with all the proceeds going to Make A Wish. Sundays race features the Jim Blair memorial race and the Midwest Factory Finishes 'Last Chance Shootout' with FREE entry for all MCR contestants. See the earlier post for details on this unique race opportunity. Thanks in advance for all the racers that sponsor and support this event. Here's just one of the reasons we do this....the smile on his face as he gets ready to go down the track in Randy Sheperd's A/S '69 Camaro says it all!

The 2022 MCR Make A Wish race was a huge success thanks to some of the best racers from Div 5 ( including a couple of cars from Canada ) the extreme generosity allowed MCR to raise alot of money for Make A Wish - Thank You to all who supported ! MCR is humbled by the racer support for this race from a couple of world champions - a hand full of Div Champions - and several past Nat record holders - this is not a easy race to win!

I would like to thank the Blair Family for their generosity is paying the entry's for Sundays race in honor of Jim. A first class offering to honor a first class man, Jim Blair. Also, the hospitality shown by Dan Weise, Bob Sherwood and Steve Koppien was surely appreciated. To Watertown Ford, Selland Trucking, and the Midwest Class Racers, you are a first class organization, and I'm sure the envy of all other associations.
Thanks Again, J.R. Haddad |

I would also like to thank Tom Meyer for the two cans of VP fuel he donated as part of the event. That’s quite a contribution based on the price now days.
