What is the current rule about replacing the stock disk brakes over to an aftermarket (aerospace) setup. My rulebook is from 2003 and I do not know if the rules have changed
Thanks |

You will get mixed reviews about Areospace brakes, lets just say you get what you pay for. Top of the line brakes that do not drag at all, Lamb, MW and Strange.

Iv'e had very good luck with my aerospace brakes. Iv'e got them on all four wheels and they have almost no drag at all. They're light and the're not really expensive and they stop great. I realize that they are not Lamb but you can do all four wheels for half what Lamb brakes cost for just the front.

you can compare brakes to buying a 9/16 combination wrench
1. some people buy a chinese wrench knowing they are made with poor tolerances , inferieor materials built by slave labor .and simply dont care because for the intended use or risk associated with the use doesnt justify the expense of a craftsman , let alone a mac or snap on tool. 2. Others buy a chinese wrench because they simply cannot afford anything else ... 3. Some buy a chinese wrench because they don't know or simply are incapable of understanding the difference between a complete piece of **** and a quality tool and purchase based on price only 4. Then there are those who will spend the money and buy the best a Mac or Snap On tool because it is made in our own country with tight tolerances and quality materials ,great quality control , good warranty's and good customer service . bottom line this person wouldnt risk a single bloody knuckle because they went cheap when they had the knowledge and money to buy the best . In regards to brakes there is alot more at risk than a knuckle ... apply the same 4 scenarios and decide where you fall . areospace brakes imo...are only worth thier weight as scrap Last edited by davyjones; 11-27-2007 at 12:25 AM. David I run their 4 piston lightweight brakes. I think a lot of people don't take the time or have the knowledge to do the installation right and when they don't work right they say they are junk. My front ones have been on the car for four years with no problems at all. I probably average 150-175 passes a year.
