Default Lucas Oil ends Off Road Racing Series....

They have ceased the ownership and operations of The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series....They have been a TREMENDOUS asset to our sportsman drag racing community.....I am sure 2020 was a big drain on them financially,.. Wonder what 2021 will bring ????

I have tremendous respect for Lucas Oil and am a long time customer, but I am not hearing good things about them and the sponsorship of the NHRA Sportsman series after the 2021 season...sure hope it's not true :-(

They were the sponsors of drag boat racing but stopped a couple of years ago. They have been good for many motor sports.

My cousin, Mike Robbins, won the top fuel hydro championship that year and was planning a trip to Vegas(I believe) for the awards banquet and got the call that the series was ending and they would mail his awards. It really was a bad deal for him as he finally achieved his dream and then didn't even get to enjoy the celebration w/ his team. What's worse is he has a lot of money tied up in equipment, engines, and boats w/ no where to race!
