We were informed about this in an email we all received yesterday. The info must be accessed on the live timing link provided in email. This will be a challenging endeavor. If I had known this I may have skipped this event. It will be interesting to see if this will be the case for the pro classes.

In the past live timing has not been very reliable. Hope it works out. No reason to not give time slips. It can be done and keep distance.

We raced at WWT in St louis yesterday and today, you have to put an App on your phone called WWT time slips, if you pull your run up right after you run, you can e mail it to yourself, or text it to yourself, if you wait 30 minutes you have to scroll through to find your car number, to forward it, you need to give them permission to access all your contacts, galleries and other things on your phone, I am not a fan of giving an unkown app permission to access all my information and files.

A phone in your pocket is a real safety issue in my opinion. If you have some type of an accident during the race it can cause major injuries. If you have not witnessed what a cell phone battery in a shorted situation can do to a persons skin you would be surprised. I would think NHRA would take carrying a phone in the race car a safety issue. Of course we do not even have tech now so I guess it is up to the racer. I won't be carrying a phone in the race car even though my phone is a flip phone and it is not app capable. Just My Preference Rick Cates Canyon, TX |

Most people that know me know my opinion about the virus, false info, masks, etc etc etc.
However, this is all about our sport being able to continue or NOT, the people watching over us to see if we do what they think is important to stop the spread of the virus. Then I'm ok with wearing a mask, remote timeslips and whatever... The alternative is not good. Thanks, Dan Foley SC4698
