That was an awesome morning, cool, crisp air, you could feel the magic in the air. I believe this was the same weekend that both Chris Whitney and Jim Waldo were battling to set the B/Stick record. They ended up splitting it, I believe Waldos Mustang got the MPH, and Whitneys Fairlane set the ET record. Anybody know whatever happened to the Alouise '' Tiger'' Plymouth? Don`t recall ever hearing about it after that weekend. Too bad not many spectators got there early enough to see that historic pass that Sunday morning.

Nice piece, and the video was cool too, noticed Bobby in a T shirt and maybe sweat pants...SFI approved of course, it couldn't have been that chilly even for Canada.
That Camaro is impressive to say the least, lots of blood, sweat & tears and countless $$$ went into that historic run.

Nice trip down memory lane....bring on the second episode!!!

As an FYI, you can find the full "Four Days In May" video (in 5 parts) if you look at the other videos Larry has uploaded:

I remember that milestone accomplishment vividly, hard to believe it has been 18 years. I seem to recall Bobby DeArmond sold the record setting '69 to an overseas party some time ago. Does he still race ?
