Chick Ross update

Div. 1 SG and TS racer Chick Ross, recovering from burns sustained at Atco Raceway in March, suffered a setback this week. Scar tissue in his air passage became inflamed and was blocking 90 percent of his breathing. He was sent to Boston Medical Center and underwent surgery today, friday August 17. He is currently breathing through a traich tube and fears of vocal chord damage seem relieved for now. Chick is in good spirits and communicating through head nods and a message board...not sure if it's censored!

His wife Janet said they are greatly relieved and comfortable after a few tough days. She said their children have been a great help and they're doing ok. She also said it's ok to call as long as people understand she may not be able to talk sometimes, and sends thanks to all.
