Geography - Not many IHRA tracks in the Northeast or other parts of the country.

IHRA mostly boring 1/8 mile racing.

IHRA is more cost effective.

Some IHRA have two separate races for Saturday and Sunday.

2 - ProAm or 1-ProAm and 1-NitroJam.
Get to race twice in a weekend. I like that ..
IHRA more racer centric.
Have 1/8 and 1/4 mile races.

Wish they would add points for setting a National Record.
Would be good incentive to see more set.

IHRA has Pure Stock !!

IHRA//NHRA

1. Car counts less//More
2. Races per weekend 2-3//1
3. Available tracks Class racing less//More
4. Friendly Officials Same//Same
5. Friendly Racers Same//Same
6. Payout less//More
7. Contingency Payout less//More
8. Cost to enter less//More
9. Too Many Chevys Same//Same

There are more facts and opinions, I enjoy both, and both have positives and negatives.
