Default WTB, 3.00 gears for 8.8 Ford

What is the difference in the two pinion bearing sizes?
This is for an A-B-E housing.

I'm guessing you mean the different rear pinion bearing used in Mustangs the last few years. The bearing has bigger diameter but shorter rollers at a different angle. Still the same bore in the case and no difference in the pinion, so you can switch from one bearing type to the other.

As for 3.00, I'm not aware of any ratio between 2.73 and 3.08, ever.
