283 block, .060 over, filled to water pump
Bushed lifter bores. .842 Chevy 283 steel crank Manley rods TRW pistons coated skirts .031 dykes top, 3/16 oil rings Erson Cam Crane roller lifters Double roller timing chain (sorry no Jesel belt) Innovators West light balancer Moroso oil pan fits stock chassis 520 heads with raised intakes and welded exhaust ports Crane shaft rockers Unknown intake looks like Victor Jr 4GC carb No distributor, water pump, starter. Also I never got header plates with it. I'm using stock flange headers. Ran -.58 at Seattle D6 race in SS/NA with a buddy driving my 66 ElCamino Aug 22-24. Chevelle body style it's factored at 217hp. At the Mission D6 race Sept 6-8 I was 125lbs heavy for 3205 min at 3330, and ran 11.41 in SS/MA in qualifying on 11.85 index. Round 1 was going 11.36 to 37. So at N weight pretty sure could go 11.47-50 or -.65 to -.68. This is with the incorrect gears and converter. I installed the engine after hurting my Stock 327 I/SA combo. Running only a 5.13 (should be 5.83 or 6.14) and converter was 5400 behind 327, so way tight for SS 283. But the 3 speed helped crutch that. Good reliable engine so far. Has 16 runs since it was freshened. Call or text with questions please. Asking $5000 Thanks! 253-906-9643 See racing junk ad #182283850 for pictures |
