Default Bobby Thompson

Bobby, those valve springs that I told you about are at Competition Products Part #98215. They are a Zero tolerance electro polished valve spring. The package also has the # 2300e. However, I checked their web site and I couldn't find them. I sent them an e mail asking about the availability. You can also call them at 1-800-233-1099. The last time I bought them they were $99. Hope this helps.

My wife and I are considering driving up on Sunday. I have done this before and met Billy at the exit close to his home. I am also considering shipping the trans to him and shipping it back. Donnie says he has a container and a sweet shipping deal. I plan on contacting Donnie today and making a decision. I have been doing honey do's since returning from Dallas and haven't pulled Donnie's trans yet. I hope to do that today. I got a response from Competetion Products. They say they have the springs and they are $99 plus shipping. I have been running mine for two years. I started at 180#'s and they are at 160 plus now. Without Schubeck lifters you probably don't want to go that high. 140 is probably max. You might want to post on this site and asked for other racers input.

I tried to post a link but it didn't work. Just go to the Comp Products web page and search for 98215

Thanks, Bobby
I decided yesterday to just ship the trans to Billy. It saves time and money. He will have more time to repair it since I won't need it in one day. Let me know how things come with replacing the valve springs. I will plan to see you in Rusk.
