Default What happened to Pat Ross in Comp?

The results on the NHRA website show him losing in the 3rd round , then in the 4th round he is listed as disqualified because of off track activities!Anyone know what happened?

From what I was told, he pushed a worker at the end of the track when they used the quad with the push rollers on the front to push his car off the track and damaged his car's quarter panel. That rig is not made for full bodied cars.

Thumbs down Re: What happened to Pat Ross in Comp?

This is out of control. The idiot NHRA $5 an hour top end worker caves in the Ross's quarter panel FOR THE SECOND TIME! with the ATV that isn't even supposed to be used on Comp cars, gets pi$$ed at the worker, and then NHRA tosses him? Not only that but he had just WON the round! Some of the Comp racers are saying this has happened several times! So the top end idiot gets nothing, Ross gets a busted up car and gets tossed? Don't try to use common sense here, it will just pi$$ you off. Move along lemmings, nothing to see here. NHRA is out of control. Jim

Typical NHRA complete lack of respect for sportsman racers.

NHRA just can't seem to hire near as many guys like Bill "Redman" Floyd, Dave Ley, Travis Miller, Bob Lang, or Wesley Roberson as they do people who have no respect for racers. It's a damned shame.

And people wonder why so many just stick to bracket racing close to home where if you have a well operated track you get a better payout, less time invested and a smaller fuel bill. It's no wonder the Comp fields are getting smaller, in my mind they are the top of the heap in the sportsman categories. They get a few perks but nothing close to what they invest in $ and effort.

It will continue to get worse as they pay the employees less, treat them worse and their attitudes will reflect that.
You can hear that employees radio right? "Get that car off the track...I don't care how you do it, just get it off the track"!

I would guess the guy cares but the employer does not.

One more enhancement for Mr Ross, unfortunately,

Jok
