I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to the Yancer / Weldon cookout this past Friday at Firebird Raceway. We had a heck of a time, met a bunch of great racers and made a whole bunch of new friends.

A great big THANK YOU to the Yancer family, who, without their expertise (in feeding that many people) and passion for the people and this sport, this would not have been a success.............already looking forward to next year.

You guys from back east.......do yourselves a favor and make the trip (at least once) -- an outstanding facility, super people, very competitive racing and a cookout that would knock your socks off (we learned some important lessons.

Oh, another neat little feature.....Alan Reinhart doing the announcing......another outstanding effort......thank you for all the plugs

I made the trip out in 2009 for the divisional and cook-out with my good friends the Taylors! Let me tell you it was top notch and made me miss the days when we used to have the cook-out at Maple Grove way back in the day. Hopefully Phoenix is here to stay and doesn't make way for another F'ING shopping mall.
