My partner just figured out how to post pics in the Photo Gallery....anyway the pic of the two guys laying in front of the Copo Camaros:
Al Mac (MacNamara) owner of Mac's Cherv-Olds and Don Busboom, buyer were asked by the Crete, NE newspaper for a photo for an article....the 8 Camaros are all Copo 427, with the yellow Z-28 w/chambered exhaust...Mac's was our local Nickey or Motion outlet with Lakewood scattershields, slapper bars and Hooker Headers installed right on the spot Behind the red pick-up...way back is the silver ZL-1 sitting a little high...motor missing installed in a race ready Camaro......'errr painted black.....for heat dissapation....right! My Cortez Silver '69 Nova (396/375) came from there, and they shoved a lot of Hi-Perf iron out of that small town dealership The buyer, Don Busboom was known to have enjoyed a barley pop or 10, maybe explaining the mid-70's Step side pu that were hot at the time....they came in just few colors, bright blue, orange, and maroon, all with white stripes and matching interior colors....somehow, an orange stepside arrived off the hauler, with a blue interior interior! I'm pretty sure that's when Ron started ordering vehicles ah! those were the days Last edited by Randall Klein; 10-28-2011 at 03:34 PM. Reason: delete RIP after Don....amazingly he's still with us....my bad |
