Here's my cheap lite-weight solution. They make a special size (I forgot the group number) for Honda Civics. Tell them you have a 1992 Civic. No more than $58.00 depending if you get the standard or premium model. Buy two. Charge both the night before. Use one for qualifying then change it out for eliminations. You can charge the 1st battery and if you make it to the 4th round, rotate the battery. Besides being cheap, they weigh only 15 pounds each. I never had one problem in Stock with my 390 engine and constantly forgetting to turn the water pump or fan off while in the pits.

There is a battery company in the Phoenix area that has every type of battery produced. I looked at the ones used in NASCAR. Very light and must work well.

I did the same as Jeff Lee. Went t o Walmart and found a small battery with 650 CCA weighs about 28 lbs. costs about $50.00. Saved about 30 lbs over th group 27 battery. With a full charge and a retard control on the MSD I have no problem starting my 350/ 295 super stock camaro even when going round robin in eliminations

Odyssey has a small battery that is about the size of maybe a cross between a lawn tractor battery and a motorcycle battery, plenty of reserve and CCA.Summit has them for about $130.

The Odessey batteries are a really good battery to go with. They are a completly dry battery and they have tons of power. They weigh a bit less than the Optima battery but have more power.
