Default Indy Schedule update!

Hot off the press..They are moving more to Friday.....

We are proposing the schedule changes as noted below (copy of revised schedule attached) due to possible weather on Sunday for this weekend's NHRA Lucas Oil Spring Spectacle of Speed at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

It would appear that the forecast for Thursday may allow for the track's Test-n-Tune Thursday afternoon and that both Friday and Saturday look promising with mostly sunny skies and temps reaching the mid-70's. Sunday is not a total wash with 30-40% chance of scattered showers possible. I don't write 'em, I just read 'em.

Unlike the Ohio Valley-area to the south and northern portions of the Division, Lucas Oil Raceway has not had flood-like rains. Speaking with LOR-staff the grounds, which keep in mind there are a lot of, are in reasonably good condition and not a concern for the weekend.

The changes largely involve moving some of Saturday to Friday (TD, TS & Comp) and some of Sunday to Saturday (SST Rd 1 and possibly 2nd rounds of Stk, SG, SS & SC). In all cases no runs would be lost. If weather forecasts were to deteriorate for Sunday the possibility of cutting a run from Top Alcohol Dragster & Funny Car exists with their first round possibly moved to Saturday afternoon (what would have been their 3rd session) but this decision is not planned at this time.

It is our intent to complete the event that everyone is coming to race or at least complete as much as weather will allow. Taking advantage of Friday and Saturday's very favorable conditions and Sunday is fair.

We understand everyone's concern with travel costs, we have the same issues with our crew. We want everyone to

We will be posting this information on our website at 2 p.m. ET. If you see any issues please feel free to contact me ASAP in the North Central Division office 765-689-8727.
