![]() Heads up Cylinder heads 10.12 in SS/KA Harrison racing heads 10.30 in SS/KA (and maybe a wrong carb) Who do you want working on your SS heads? I have never seen three cars all go after the same record at the same time because they dislike someone. The funny part is all three did not care who got the record. As long has it change hands. And the Red Barron wins again!!!! P.S. nice job Dave a true class racer on and off the track. |

I think Dave runs a fuel injected 305, anyone know what engine Team Harrison uses? Don Jackson

I think they use the 66 283 with the smaller type carb. They also have a powerglide versus the three speed. Maybe the factoring explains part of it?Regardless congrats to Dave. Quite a run. Wont that factor on Monday?

Layer had the 305 ci 238 hp (215 hp factory) fuel-injected motor in. I saw both runs and walked bythe car in staging.
Congrats to Dave; that combo is flying. |

How about this question............. ?
Does NHRA still have the rule that says a competitior loses his record if his combination gets factored? That would be a kick in the pants...... Set record on friday (more than 1.40 under), and lose record on monday when it gets refactored???? Something is telling me that it doesn't work this way anymore.... I'm not sure.... anybody know??? The answer is YES he looses the record unless he was carrying enough weight to compensate for the additional HP he will recieve. Jim
Jim Wahl 6 Time National record Holder 2239 BF/S I miss Buster Couch also! 'cause Div.2 will always be "Buster's Rebels"
