Does anyone know the specs for the staging beams?
Height of beams Width of beams = Rollout Distance ffrom the beams to the tree. Last edited by RPinoski1; 10-19-2010 at 04:07 PM. |

Light Beam Placement:
-distance between pre-stage beam and stage beam 7" -distance between stage beam and gaurd beam 16" -height of 60' beam 10-10.5" -height of interval beams, speed trap beams and ET stop beam -all 5-6" Roll Out - height of beam adjusted as necessary (and possible) to provide 11.5-12" of roll using standard dragster wheel/tire.(22" diam.) *note , an 11.5" rollout equal on both lanes may not be possible due to track crown. The single most important thing with rollout is that both lanes be as equal as possible. This info was from a 2004 NHRA Competition Policies & Procedures Manual. Hope this helps |

as for the tree
-distance from start line to tree: 38-40' -height of tree :90" from ground to center of pre-stage bulb. |

I'm surprised that they haven't raised the tree from90" to 150" so the guys with those beluga whale scoops can see the tree in the left lane.

If there is a standard location for the tree in relation to the starting line, why does it seem that I seem to have move my blinder at some tracks to make it line up correctly? Maybe gravity changes....

Tracks are of different widths. Even tracks that measure the same wdith may have the groove in different locations.
