Not the favorite choice of Mopar Racers.
The 1966 Plymouth Belvedere Street-Hemi. Square and Box-like. Heavy with a lower-compression Hemi engine. Moderate-lift camshaft. No one expected them to dominate A/S for 1966. pc |

I remember the first time I saw Bobby Warren's 69 Nova run at York US 30 Penn. back in the 7 inch tire days. It sounded like a big block, ran as quick or quicker as most big blocks of the time, but was just a little ole 350/255 HP small block. I was impressed.

I believe I ran up running against the Warren and Register car when a guy in Texas ended up with it. It was a regular at Paris and Hallsville.

Matt Steen's Valiant is a S/S car.
Angela Bushmaker's 235/273 Valiant runs in K/SA, usually. Her car is competitive (mid-to-high 11's) but is no giant killer. It has benefitted from a moderate amount of HP reduction, but like Bob Glidden in his heyday, Wade Owens's 283 is seemingly needing a factor on the driver....
