I remember reading somewhere (possibly on here) that cars were allowed to tow to a checkpoint since many guys are in the back 40. A buddy of mine is heading to Indy this year and was wondering if this is fact or fiction. Anybody know for sure?

I don't know for sure but I have never seen it allowed in the past.

That was Joliet due to the fact that many were pitted in the NASCAR parking lot. I don't think you will see any towing allowed at Indy.

We got grossed out by Travis @ the points meet for towing to tech the car, told us they (NHRA) would appreciate S/S cars being driven...so I'd hate to tell you to attempt it. To be safe I'd ask an official @ the race, oh and get his name incase there are any questions later. Joe
