Am I the only one who has heard this rumor?

Keep hearing from a few people that it's only a matter of time before Maryland International Raceway and New England Dragway become NHRA? I know the rumor has been floating around forever about Epping going back to NHRA but, first that I've heard about MIR. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

I race at NED on a weekly basis. And I know a few people who's memberships for IHRA are up this year. They have been told to renew them for only 1 year.
