Anyone hear of any rumors that the Jegs sportsman and apparell trailer got busted crossing the Washington state line? Over weight, rig too long, rigs had to be towed...

I saw it today. It was at the end of the track at Pacific and I thought "that is weird, why is it there?" It looked like an employee was going through it and/or doing inventory.

Speaking of left coast regulation luancy, have you heard about the special tires CA is requiring on rigs?

Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program are now mandatory in the state of California – all due to rules hammered put by the California Air Resources Board or “CARB.”

In the case of the CARB, commercial trucks operating in California – even if they are domiciled outside the “Golden State” – must use so-called “SmartWay specs,” including tires approved under the program.


This applies on to Class 7 and Class 8 trucks hauling 53-foot dry van or refrigerated trailers, ...

This tire thing is a FEDERAL EPA reg. goes back to about 2007 --google in Smarty way program/tires---really just now starting to enforce it---also wind resistance aerodynamic spoilers and other stuff too all to increase fuel milage/reduce fuel consumption on the BIG trucks--Comp
