Professional (?) Qualifying
I`ve noticed at most of the NHRA national events this year, that it appears that some racers get to keep their Friday qualifying times, while others, most noteably Larry Morgan, seem to have his Friday runs magically dissapear. For example, on Fridays Pro Stock qualifying sessions, Morgan ran a best of a 6.69, which would have easily put him in the P/S field, and Jason Line had a best of 6.68. However, on the Saturday sessions, although he did not improve on his 6.68 from Friday, Lines 6.68 stood as his final qualifying pass, but Morgans 6.69 best was replaced with a best of 6.85, which put him outside of the field. For his 3rd pass (1rst for Sat), Morgan was shown as having "no prior run". WTF!? If Morgans Friday passes doesn`t count for Sat, why not? I`ve noticed the same thing for Paul Lee in F/C before. If a racer makes 4 passes in qualifying, why the hell wouldn`t all of them count? It seems that Morgan has been pushed out of several P/S fields because of this inequity.
