Re: Ignition Retard
MSD has the selector but you have to move it manually.

Re: Ignition Retard
I looked all over their stuff, all I can find are ways to change the timing in all cyl.s
I need to change just 1 or 2 cyls. ONLY. What would be the effect of a LONG lpug wire on the cyl. in question? Juice takes time to get there, would probably have to be pretty long,4-6 ft.? |

Re: Ignition Retard
I dont think you would affect timing enough to notice as spark travels in miliseconds. I know Ishmael performance had an 8 pack coil set up back in the day that you could do what your asking to do. A very easy setup that could be recreated with a bunch of coils. Worked on a points ignition too.

Re: Ignition Retard
Before there were programmable boxes, the NASCAR engine builders would bend the tangs on the distributor reluctor for the cylinders they wanted to retard or advance, then check the results by putting a timimg light on each cylinder. I guess it was trial and error until they got the right amount of change.

Re: Ignition Retard
Why not just put a hotter or colder plug in that cylinder.
