Default This is What you call drawing a Crowd

Not going to chime in on someone elses thread and started a new one. Roxboro Motorsports Park did what most people say can't be done. This week-end was, I believe the 47th Annual Easter Bash at Roxboro. He put together a show with "Bracket Racers, Door Slammers and a couple of Jets. Want to know what this produced? How long has it been since you went to a local track and saw spectators lining both sides of the track, grandstands filled and cars parked on the side of the road, no more places to park inside the track. Were in the staging lanes at 3:00 p.m. and there is still a line to get into the track. They had people directing traffic into the parking areas.

Now folks there were grill everywhere there was chickens of every type there was barbque shoulders and steaks. Everyone was visiting from car to car. More good food than could be ate in a day at the track. Plenty of real good racing. When was the last time you were at Roxboro or any local track and the PA announcer had to request that people walk on the sides of pit road to allow cars to get in and out of the pits? I will add some photos tomorrow when I get them re-sized. Congratulations to Roxboro for a job well done.
