Default Henry Sliwinski Update?

Does anyone know how Henry Sliwinski is doing? According to DRC, he crashed his S/Gas Vette at the National in Vegas a week ago.

From DRC: "Not sure exactly what happened here, Sliwinski's car made a hard move to the right around 1000 feet, crossed over into the right lane, hit the right wall, then started back to the left. he slid back to the left hit the left wall, then careened back over into the right side of the shutdown area.
Update on the driver: He is out of the vehicle and being examined by medical personnel. He is awake and alert."

But the last I heard is that there was internal bleeding and he had crushed vertebrae in his neck and was going to be in a halo setup.

Does anyone know?

Thanks,
Brad Rose

Thumbs up Re: Henry Sliwinski Update?

Henry's flight just landed in Colorado (Monday 2130 hrs. EST) and he's back home again finally. I have talked to his wife Gerry (sorry if the spelling is not correct) a few times and talked to Henry a few days ago as well. His injuries are serious, but should make a full recovery. He has several fractures to his vertebrae in the thorax area and 1 in the lumbar area (basically the chest area). "NO HALO" for this guy! He also had some bruising in that area, that caused some breathing discomfort. He will require the use of a back brace when out of bed for the next three months. They will meet with their doctors in Colorado soon for follow-up treatment. Henry is a champion, and his commitment to his racing will not waiver. With a good woman by his side, HE WILL BE BACK!..........Good luck on a full recovery Henry....Wade

Kudo's to Henry's buddies for their assistance in getting the car and rig back home a few days earlier!

Thanks for the update Wade. Henry is as nice a guy as you'll find at the races and you hate to see bad things happen to good people.

I wish him well in his recovery.

Thanks to all who are concerned. My brother Henry is doing as well as can be expected. Wade is correct in his post. Henry is glad to be home and is seeing his doctors today Tues. to figure out whats next in his treatment. Wade, even though i have not seen the car I was told that it held up very well to the 150mph impact.....THANK YOU. Hopefully their will be no permanent damage and a speedy and full recovery can be expected.
Once again thank you to all.

Tell Henry to get well soon, I'm glad to hear he's in good spirits. Looks like we'll be seeing more of Mr. Scary in 10.90...great.

Second that. I hope he's doing well and can get that S/Gas car fixed before he has to come back to S/St.

Glad to hear he is doing well.
Just a quick question: Did Henry use a Hans or R3 or did he just use the foam neck collar?

Gods Speed for a full recovery.
