Hello ALL
Have email you about this before. Been since 1991 when I ran my last Stock Eliminator Race. Doing a lot of Club Drag racing with www.ECIRS.com I am converting my 95 ImpalaSS to run G Pure Stock. Just do not have the desire to add a roll cage. But may have to to compete in NHRA only Stock class. Sure wish NHRA would add PS to the schedule. Just bought Warren Engine and going to install it soon. My 1969 Impala is in restoration. Ran that in M/SA since 1975. So the SS car will be it until the 69 Impala is ready. I live in Germantown, MD and wondering where all the S/SS races? Familiar with East Coast S/SS racing at Atco. Seems IHRA has few Divisional races compared to NHRA. NHRA ignors PS and IHRA racing season is a bit confusing. Other than going to each tracks web site in the WDC Metro and surrounding states. Is their a single Calander of events to view all the independent S/SS Racing? Dan Fahey Here is my contact information for off line conversation. IHRA pure stock is basically same engine rules as NHRA Stock circa 1985 or so. No more than OE overlap/duration/spring pressure allowed is the big difference. You can run any muffler as long as you can't see right thru it. Other than that, not a lot different, The Marshburn's I believe run a similar combo, and very competitive.

Hello ALL;
Thanks for the Invite...I will be heading to Atco. Ironically time wise it is the same as going to Englishtown. Ran my first S/SS race at Mason Dixon November 7th. 18 years...err..at least I still have a head of hair. Won First round with a great light and perfect dial. Got sloppy the second round and lost soundly. BUT loved every minute.. Who needs to got to a car show ;-) I have old Mason Dixon pic from the 70's How do you post them? Hi Dan. It was good to meet you at Hagerstown. Hope you had a good time. That .016 package was killer first round. I'm hoping (tracks and racers willing) to have an expanded schedule for next season. Will keep you updated. Check the Tri-State S/SS Forum on Classracer, as well as Dave Ley's East Coast S/SS forum and website. G/PS weight break equates to M/SA. Below M/SA does not require a rollbar in NHRA.
