Have a 1/16" top ring,, Bore is a 4.030",, Radial Ring Size is .183"
With that ring that actually measures right on @ .183" my back clearance is .005" If i have those rings back cut to .155" to reduce friction and seal a little better,, should that be ok ? I know i will be adding back clearance when i have the rings back cut to .155" and i will add gas ports to apply the ring Any Thoughts ? |

Buy some ring shim stock to get the back clearance correct.
