I have a 2 channel Autometer playback tach that I use to record every pass I make to make sure the clutch tuning is in line. I just changed a rear gear and when running in the new gear this past weekend I had the magnets come off in the driveway. It appears that the JB weld de-bonded from the U-joint cap. Is there a better or an improved method to attach the two magnets to the driveshaft U-joint caps besides the JB weld that Autometer suggests?
Thanks Dave Oopps I just realized I put this in the wrong section sorry.. Last edited by Dave Toce; 03-11-2009 at 08:15 PM. |

Hi,
Sometimes there are clearance issues with the collar around the companion flange. As an alternative solution, you can drill the companion flange and insert the magnets with a little epoxy. Worked for us, Bob
