Default National Record Holder For Sale

Competition Eliminator C/ED, current NHRA National Record holder @ 7.26 and 181.15 MPH. This combination runs consistant 1.00 to 1.03 sixty foots with the potential to run a sub one second at any time. Although, the record is a 7.26, there is more left in this combination to tweak. I believe the car can run low 7.20's or possibly high 7 teens as set up currently. This is an easy car to drive and great for someone that wants to move to Comp or also for a couple of people to go into a partnership to run it. The engine was just freshened prior to setting the record (only 10 runs) with new pistons, rings, and bearings. We are asking $75000.00 complete as it sits when it set the national record (still sealed by NHRA). We also will sell with all spares, including additional Pro-Flite, two additional torque convertors, one 9" Ford chunk, wheels and tires, spare carburetors (which may be faster, carburetors have not been run since they were updated in October of 2008) and anything that is in the trailer, including the trailer, which is a 39 foot, tri-axle Gold Rush fifth wheel, price to be negotiated on spare parts and trailer.

We will also consider trades for this package, but we are looking primarily for 1967 thru 1969 Camaros NHRA Stockers or Super Stockers or possibly some other GM combination. If you want to see pictures, you can look at Racing Junk Ad #1363721 or action pictures on Auto Imagery (Merrick), it is the black dragster on the last pages.

If interested, contact; Gary Merrick 330-219-4738 or Charlie Gilbertson 330-714-9075. Thanks for looking.

Rich,

The only Chevy V6 splayed head parts I have left are a set of (uncoated) dyno headers. I think they have temp sensor bungs in them, but I would have to look.

If you know anybody that is interested in running Comp, the complete C/ED dragster package is still For Sale and we will look at trades (Stockers or Super Stockers).
